What is your background?
After getting my bachelors degree in business management from Western Illinois University, I started working as an area manager for WIS International Inventory service. I ran an inventory office of 80 employees and completed inventories for retailers such as Lowes, Gordmans, Walgreens, and Dollar General. I received awards for "Rookie of the Year" and "Best revenue office in the district."
After WIS, I started working as an account manager for various software companies before landing as a customer service representative at TownNews. After spending time in customer support, I moved over to my current position as a quality assurance coordinator.
What do you love most about your job?
I love the work environment at TownNews. Everyone is extremely helpful and team oriented. Also I love working with new software technology.
What are you currently working on that you’d like everyone to know more about?
I review software for BLOX Total CMS, our InDesign client, BLOX OTT, and the BLOX Now app. I am currently working on all the new changes for BLOX OTT, and BLOX Now app which will provide our customers with a new and exciting app experience.
What are you most excited about for the future of the news industry?
I am excited to see how the news industry is changing to keep up with the news internet age.
What's something people don't know about you?
I am a musician who creates electronic dance music with my brother. I play trombone and baritone. We tour around the Midwest performing at all types of events and music festivals, including Summer Camp Music Festival which is around 20,000 people.
